Sales Director of Canada & U.S.

Duties:

  • Responsible for the direct sales organization operations to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth and achieve financial objectives.
  • Establish and implement processes, tools and structures to support the Sales Team.
  • Participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales.  Analyze the business environment and competitors to expand the customer base.
  • Identify potential customers through various channels such as business directories, customer referrals, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Contact and visit potential customers, maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and provide recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sale, and service agreements.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers and sales activities.
  • Stay updated on product advancements, market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange sales strategies and product improvement ideas.
  • Sign and train new distributors.  Responsible for payment collection.  Perform other tasks/duties as needed/assigned.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related horticulture/agricultural grower/manager position overseeing relations with suppliers and customers.
  • Experience must include working knowledge of implementing innovative farming techniques, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Must have hands-on experience in outside sales growing customer base, along with increasing sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience can be gained concurrently.
